| Summary, etc | Die Neuordnung des Pressewesens nach 1945 war eine der erfolgreichsten Ma�nahmen der Alliierten zur Demokratisierung Deutschlands. Anstelle der traditionellen Bl�atter, deren Zahl in die Tausende ging, gr�undeten die Besatzungsm�achte insgesamt 156 Lizenzzeitungen. Mit dieser strukturellen Z�asur ging zudem ein personeller Neuanfang einher. Besonders die Amerikaner sahen in den Lizenzzeitungen ein Mittel zur Verankerung der Demokratie und betrieben dementsprechend die Auswahl ihrer Lizenztr�ager.
